Saw the movie "Baby Mama" today with a few friends from church. It was very good, and funny! Good girl time! I would definitely recommend seeing it!

6 weeks and counting!
Only a little over 6 more weeks until we get to find out if we're having a girl or a boy! We're so excited! Jason and I, of course, would love to be blessed with a little boy. The family name would be able to be carried on, and there is definitely a special bond between a dad and his son. We would have the honor and privilege of raising up a head of household and teaching him how to treat girls the right way. However, we know we're blessed either way! Speaking from experience, sisters also have a special bond. There is just something special between sisters that is unexplainable. And an added perk for me as the mama is that I would get twice the bows and frilly girly stuff to play with, and our girls' nights would be a blast! Either way, the two of our children will be close in age and they will be blessed to have each other. Either way, we know that it doesn't really matter as long as they both know how much we love them for who they are, no matter what! We are just trusting God to give us what He wants. We are so excited to be doing this again! I can't wait to shop for clothes and room decor!!
Baby Name Picks:
For a boy: Noah James (we've had it picked out since before we knew what we were having with Rebekah over a year and a half ago!)
We're a little undecided about our girl names. We want to stick with the -ah ending. But, we can't think of a whole lot of names that fit that criteria. For now, our top picks are: Hannah and Leah (Casey if you're reading this, I have to tell you that we had talked about Hannah before and then you suggested it to me in that email! I wonder if that means anything! LOL) We don't really have any middle names picked out yet, but I think it depends on which first name we go with.
Anyway, if you can think of any more girls' names ending with -ah, I'd love to hear them!

Mommy Moment
Rebekah is finally walking! Well, for the most part. She took her real first steps a few weeks ago at my mom and dad's house and now she "practices" all the time. She will walk a good distance (of course with her arms straight up in the air for balance and out of excitement), only to get tired and crawl for a while. Then she'll take a few more tiny steps and fall. She doesn't quite know how to get back up (I know it takes a while to learn) and gets frustrated. You can tell she carefully calculates where she's going to go next, and you can almost read her mind when she realizes something is too far and drops to the floor to crawl instead. It is soo precious, but I have yet to get it on camera!
Anyway, I know that every mama probably says this, but I was so anxious for her to start walking, and now I just want her to shrink and be a newborn all over again! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade those sweet, slobbery kisses or hugs and cuddle time with my sweetheart. No, I wouldn't trade those priceless "toofy" grins (that now come with a squeal), watching her get excited to see her daddy, her attempts at making us laugh, hearing her yell "NaNa"(that is.."Mama" in her own words) to get my attention, or her sweet attempt at saying "Amen" when we pray. I love every moment of our baby being One. But sometimes I wish I could just go back to when she was itty bitty and just stay there a minute longer.
I guess I just realize that she's becoming more independent. This is just the first of many things to come. I mean, for now it's just walking. But one day, I'll be seeing Jason walk her down the aisle. I can only pray that I savor each moment we have with her in between now and then and that Jason and I will be Godly examples and good parents to our Bekah along the way. I pray that as she grows up and gains even more independence, that she will always know how blessed she is and that she will have a close and personal relationship with God. I pray that she and I will always have the same close relationship that we have now.
Having said all of that, I guess you could say that I am pretty excited about our "baby" getting to be more of a big girl. And I just know that she's going to be the best big sister to her little brother or sister!

November 30, 2008
We went for our appointment with our midwife this morning. We got to see the baby via sonogram and it was so precious! We got to hear the heart beat and we could see little tiny arms and legs, and we could tell that the baby was on his(or her) back, and moving around a lot! My official due date is November 30, just about what I had suspected. We get to find out what the sex of the baby is in 10 more weeks! We can't wait!
I added these pictures of Rebekah's "Big Sister" shirt we made her. We used it to announce our pregnancy to several people, including some family and friends. I got a better picture of her "toofy" grin and I included a pic of her just before her bath the other night with crazy hair.
