Random Pics Part Two

Okay, so here are a ton more fun pics!

But first, a funny story.

Lately, our Little Miss has loved to do everything her "Bubba" is doing.. from trying to bite his teethers to playing with his toys to eating his baby food... Harmless right? But super funny!

I bought Noah a sippy cup and put some goat's milk in it. R asked if she could drink it and I thought to myself that she would hate it, so I said yes. She took one drink of it and said, "Shooey milk! Bubba drink it!" Of course I laughed at how right I was and went about my business.

Before I knew it she asked for more. I kindly reminded her that she thought it was "shooey" and she said, "Try it!" So I obliged. She carried that thing around with her, drinking it - and with every drink came a sour face but she looked at me and shook her head "yes" in approval....just so she could keep drinking out of Bubba's cup!


Caught in the act! She thought she was in trouble until I couldn't help but laugh!


She was walking around in circles on that thing! Man, I can remember when her feet barely touched the floor!


Our big boy is sitting up!

Rebekah had to sit inside the boppy, too!

Here's the girl using the perfect push-up handles - just like Daddy! We might need to work on her form though...


And here are my two loves feeling sleepy after church this past Sunday! J was pretending to sleep and she said, "I go seepy on Dada!" Love it! (I just wish I would have moved that laundry basket!)

Random Pics Part One

Here are a bunch of recent and very random pictures!

(sidenote: the park pictures are actually dated after the others, but I didn't want to rearrange them!)

We went to a park in a nearby community. No one was there, so we had the whole place to ourselves!

She LOVES to slide!


And is scared to swing! (I know! What child doesn't like to swing!? ...Apparently mine!) She kept calling for her Daddy to get her out and was mad (kept telling me "no") at me for taking pictures!


I thought Noah was getting huge until I put him in this swing...He looks so small! He didn't love or hate the swing...he just chilled!


I took this and just now noticed that they were sitting the same and with the same expression and everything! So funny!


Daddy was trying to tune his guitar....and Bekah tuned hers too! (If you look close, they're looking at the tuner together)


Jammin out!

Solids!

We started Noah on solids on the 5th and he cut his first tooth last Sunday!

To start, we tried organic carrots with a tiny bit of oatmeal mixed in. I have been desperate to get him to sleep longer at night for his mama and daddy's sake, so I thought we'd give it a try! Here is what Noah thought of those carrots...

SO funny, but I felt bad for him! Haha! (Sidenote: please excuse the quality of those pics - do you know how hard it was to be taking these pictures while trying to feed him in the bathroom while R was in the bath? Just sayin'.) By the fourth or fifth bite, he was seriously dry heaving and shuddering! Guess we know he doesn't like carrots!

Oh but not to worry - since then, we've tried oatmeal by itself (watered down of course) and then smashed up bananas and sweet potatoes. While he was not a big fan of the oatmeal, he LOVED the bananas and sweet potatoes.

It cracks me up because Rebekah wanted to eat as soon as she could! Up until recently, she's liked almost everything we've put in her mouth. (The only thing I can remember her not liking as a baby were sweet peas.) Whereas, Noah acts like he could take it or leave it! I guess he's just happy with Mama's milk! I've had to wait til he's super hungry to try to feed him solids, whereas Rebekah has never had an "off" switch. She has always eaten and eaten until she can't eat anymore - and then some. Talk about two totally different personalities!

6 Months Old!

Today, our little Noah is 6 months old! That's just crazy to me! He has gotten so big and is so full of personality, and it just makes me wish time would slow down just a little. I mean, I love those chunky baby legs and all, but I miss how little he was as a newborn!

These days, he is practicing sitting up (we're almost there but not quite!), loves to be tickled, is finally sleeping in his pack n play at night (in our room but not thru the night just yet), laughs at his sister - especially when she laughs, and he "talks" to us all the time.

He loves his "sassy" (paci) (and his two middle fingers....and feet!), is taking better naps during the day (can I get an "Amen"?) and is just plain cute! He is still trying to crawl, but just hasn't mastered it yet. But then, who's rushing that? Mama would like to not chase after both the kids just yet. :)

6 months ago, I was laboring and anxious for our baby boy to get here. And now, all those hours of labor don't even seem to matter. In fact, it feels like that was years ago! But boy, am I so glad we have him here!

Happy (half) Birthday little buddy! We love you to pieces!
