The Cupcake Cottage

I was reading my friend, Casey's blog recently and she mentioned a place called the Cupcake Cottage that she went to for her birthday. Always loving new ideas for places to go, I checked out the website and liked what I saw. They just happen to be located 10 minutes away from our apartment! So, I've been dying to get over there and taste their yummy treats for almost 2 weeks now.

Today, we were finally able to get ourselves over there, and let me just say that they did not disappoint! It is this little "mom and pop" shop that makes their cupcakes from scratch and from all natural ingredients. They have 5 flavors of the day for each day. They open at 10am and literally close when their last cupcake sells.

We were so glad we made it in time to taste what we wanted! As shown in the picture above, we decided on one Confetti, a Mint Chocolate Chip (our favorite!), and a Favorite Chocolate (the little one is another mint choc chip), complete with some milk. It was SO great, we know we'll be back for more very soon!

Thanks for the fun and yummy idea, Casey! :)

J - about to try his mint chocolate chip!

Loved this quote from "Miss Piggy".

Little Miss was not interested in pictures as she was about to sink her teeth into her yummy baby cake.

This was when we knew it was time to go...Noah was screaming and Rebekah looked like she was about to fall asleep and was missing a pig tail. haha!

I always enjoy getting out with Rebekah to do inexpensive and fun things. What about you? Do you have fun places that you go to, or fun things you like to do? Please share!

Thought this video was pretty appropriate! So cute!

Woo hoo...I got a blog shout-out! :) Ha! Glad you liked The Cupcake Cottage...so yummy! We should try to get together sometime with the kids, we could go there for a snack and I know of a great little park nearby that the girls could play at.

Another fun and inexpensive thing to do is take a stroll through Central Market. With all the free samples they give Bekah would probably be full by the time you left, then you could pick out a little treat for yourself. When you walk in they have a piggy bank that you can drop a quarter in too and get a kid's snack (raisins, bananas, etc). :)
